ATLANTA (AP) — Backup catcher Jason Castro became dropped from the Houston Astros' World collection roster before video game 4 on Saturday on account of main League Baseball's COVID-19 protocols.
He became replaced by means of Garrett Stubbs.
Castro was positioned on the COVID-19 linked injured list. not like a participant replaced because of damage, Castro is eligible to come if he's cleared.
Castro, 34, become 0 for two in video game 1 towards Atlanta and nil for 1 in online game 2. He hit a go-ahead single in the ninth inning off Boston's Nathan Eovaldi to help the Astros win video game four of the AL Championship sequence.
Castro is a member of the players' affiliation's eight-man executive subcommittee supervising collective bargaining with MLB.
Stubbs hit .176 in 34 at-bats throughout the ordinary season. He has not seemed in a large league video game on the grounds that Sept. 16 and closing played at any stage on Sept. 30 for the Triple-A Sugar Land Skeeters.
